Tight Rotations for Core Conditioning
September 21, 2009 by admin
If you want an ab exercise that truely addresses the true design and function of your entire “core” region that you have to try Nick Tumminello’s “Tight Rotations” Series. Nick highlights several levels of his tight rotations on his blog at Nick Tumminello.
We do something similar in our training with power ropes. Any training tool is great but the key to successful training is progession and regression of exercise variables. Our posture is a little lower than Nick teaches but having having an upright posture is just so damn hard with the power rope tight rotations.
Try it out and you’ll quickly become a believer.

Great exercise! I do something very similar. Try the same movement with a couple of jump stretch bands strung together. The bands create a little whipping motion.
Hey Jerry,
Thanks for sharing brother. I’ll try that out tomorrow,
VERY CREATIVE, FIRST TIME I SEE THIS.
Hey Jason, the word I think you were searching for when you said “tight little rotations” was oscillation
os⋅cil⋅la⋅tion /ˌɒsəˈleɪʃən/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [os-uh-ley-shuhn] Show IPA
–noun 1. an act or instance of oscillating.
2. a single swing or movement in one direction of an oscillating body.
Hope this helps you in the future. I think that it is also a great llittle exercise. Take care, Craig Gilpin
Thank you Craig,
That is a great word. Should have used it…will next time.
Dude, nice drill…and that’s a great looking shirt! You are one handsome devil!

I love that shirt. I am just a devil…not sure about the other part.
