Mr. Spectacular Amplified!

January 13, 2009 by admin

Yesterday I posted a video of Mr. Spectacular which is a great kettlebell and bodyweight combo that I picked up from Rob Shaul from MountainAthlete.com

Well, we took this kettlebell and bodyweight combo and amplified it a few degrees by making the kettlebell Clean & Press a kettlebell Clean & Jerk. We also laddered up from 1 -10 on both the push-ups and the kettlebell Clean & Jerks.

Here’s a short video showing how to get it done!

Nice one JCB. I suppose we can super-amplify that with a burpee. Did Mahler do a combo similar to that at the CAS cert back in the day? Maybe it was a man-maker.

KILLER workout bro! Thanks! I actually tried a similar ladder yesterday when I saw the first video. But I like how you replaced the presses with jerks it makes it twice as hard while sparing your shoulders from being overstressed. Thanks.

    Good Stuff!

I never expected that, I was sure it was going to be a burpee.

You could also bear walk the kettlebells out, and do the pushups on the kettlebells to challenge yourself a little more….or not

Some of you guys are too brutal ! Burpees? Bearwalks?

    Josh,

Como estas amigo? You could ladder back down also, your choice.

Awesome workouts!!! These two are definintely what the tough guys ordered. I love it. Kettlebell training is truly spectacular in creating the results that athletes and fitness enthusiasts seek. Once combined with bodyweight exercises, the sky’s the limit. Those seeking positive results with isolation weight training are wasting valuable time. This is definitely the fast ticket to strength, speed, anaerobic and aerobic conditioning. My mixed martial arts students love it as well. Keep it coming brothers!!!

    wow, awesome drill JCB

I think the clean and press is the ultimate exercise

if an athlete or an entire team rocked the clean and press, pull ups and sled drags they would be true beasts!

good shiizaa son, lookin forward 2 more vids!
