Coaching my students and athletes to do their best inside our studio is only one aspect of my service. Helping my students and athletes perform at their best outside the studio is the other.

Deep Art Studios is much more than a typical gym. We're not just a space where you lift some weights and mindlessly chase after calories. It is a dojo of sorts, a sacred place where we cultivate strength and meaningful movement in our everyday lives despite difficulties and daily-living.

It's a place where we embrace and expand on our relationship with strength, movement and martial art. You will learn and master the FUNdamentals of progressive human movement and athletic development in an approach that is primal, practical and playful.

Initially, you will learn how to move using a variety of tools and approaches including natural gymnastics and bodyweight training, kettlebell exercises and martial-arts inspired movements and tools.

From there we slowly transition from "learning to move to moving to learn..." about yourself, and your strengths and the joy and pleasure of human movement and the impact movement & martial art has on your life and your performance outside the gym.

Physically, Deep Art Studios is located at 1518 Easton Road Abington PA 19001 Unit #7.

Deep Art Studios Athletic Development Program is led by Jason C. Brown, one of the leading authorities on athletic development for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athletes.  Jason C. Brown has been featured in Mens' Health, Men's Fitness, Experience Life Magazine, and CNN's Fit Nation.

The ART & PRACTICE of MOVING.

WHAT MAKES BAMBOO STUDIOS UNIQUE?

I specialize in working with recreational BJJ players. Not only that, I am a BJJ player myself, and have been since 1996. I train myself exactly the same way you need to in order to get the most out of your body, your training and your time.

And because I know that your time is short , I provide the highest quality training programs that are delivered in under an hour. You'll still have time to train more BJJ, be with your family and get your work done.

Experience the fullest spectrum of athletic development including natural gymnastics, kettlebell training, MovNat/Parkour and good ole' fashioned play in one of our signature programs within Bamboo Studios.

I consider each training session to be practice and not just another mindless workout. Together we'll grow your strengths and cultivate meaningful movement skills.

Here's what other Jiu-Jitsu players & athletes have said me & my work.

“I consider Jason C. Brown to be an instructor capable of bringing any BJJ athlete to an elite level. I worked out at his gym before I relocated and considered it to be a place of higher learning vis-a-vis conditioning, kettlebell training, and martial arts. I am hopeful Jason will make his way down to the new location to do a seminar with our martial artists. Besides my direct communication with Jason, I continue to follow the articles, videos, and advice he gives. I find his insightful supplement invaluable during my daily kettlebell routine for BJJ.”
— Ken Primola - BJJ Blackbelt
“As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and fitness enthusiast, I’ve made kettlebell training and other high intensity programs the cornerstone of my practical strength and conditioning program. Jason is bar-none the best strength coach I know.
Having Jason available through the same BJJ affiliation and the internet has been a tremendous resource to myself and my teammates. I look forward to training with him on a more regular basis as soon the opportunity provides itself.
Thank you Jason for being such a tremendous resource.”
— Chris Romanchick- BJJ Blackbelt
I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for 7 years now, Jason has been my go-to source for training information since day one.
He has helped me not only get stronger and improve my conditioning, but has helped me prevent injury and stay flexible. I highly recommend working with Jason.

Jason C. Brown embodies what I love about BJJ training. He is enthusiastic, careful, extremely knowledgeable, and loves his subject.
He makes certain that the exercise is done
properly and keeps on making sure that it stays
that way. His charismatic approach coupled with a scientific and
physiological understanding make him an exceptional instructor even within
the ranks of his outstanding peers.
— Mike Flitter - BJJ Blackbelt
As a Black belt in Gracie Jiujitsu and a full time instructor, I’ve been exposed to lots of different ideas about fitness, performance and athletics over the years. Sometimes it seems like learning about my sport, and athletic performance in general is this twisted, thorny maze of information, convicting ideas, wacky notions and tons of strong opinions.

There’s a lot of confusing stuff out there. That’s where Jason comes in. He has the rare gift of being able to make the complicated seem simple, to clear out some of the brush and make complex ideas about training understandable and easy to digest.

I’ve had the pleasure of being trained by him for some of my most important tournaments and I can honestly say that I’ve never felt more super human than when he prepares me for an athletic event. The thing is, though, he’s not just a trainer. I can’t keep my mouth shut when he’s training me, I have to pick his brain about why I’m doing a certain kettlebell movement a certain way, or what the changes in my body mean, or how I would apply this to my specific sport...and he not only is able to explain all this stuff in ways that my simple brain can understand, but it’s clear when he explains this stuff that he loves what he’s doing. He’s a student of the game still, constantly doing new research, learning, experimenting, exploring.

He will train you, for sure, but he can also educate you. This is more rare. There are lots of people who can make you tired and sore, but it’s a whole other thing when someone is able to bring you to your physical potential for an important event, and teach you at the same time.

You come out of the experience much much better on all levels. So, yes, I would recommend that if you have the chance to train with him do so, without a doubt. You will be in the capable hands of an experienced, educated, and creative individual who is absolutely nuts about what he does. As a new Black belt, I’m in the “Big leagues” of Bjj competition now, and I know that having the good fortune to have Jason as a trainer, being prepared for this new level will be covered and then some.

It is for these reasons that I’m proud to be a student of his, as a Level 1 Kettlebell Athletics Coach, a training partner in Brazilian Jiujitsu, and a friend of his. He’s a good dude, train with him!
